Designing Windows...

March has already been a very eventful and exciting month!  Last year, when I was asked to design the storefront windows at Memorial Antiques & Interiors in Houston, I chose the month of March because I LOVE spring!  Little did I know, the month of March would have a lot of happenings!

The launch of Baxter Design's website and start of this fabulous blog are just a couple things that have kept me busy lately, but designing the MAI storefront window was such a refreshing change of pace!  I often frequent this wonderful antique store and find amazing art & furnishings for my clients inside their many doors {they have 3 buildings and tons of wonderful dealers inside of each}.

I was inspired by Spring... the season that is hopefully COMING SOON!  I chose a warm coral paint as the dramatic backdrop for all of the beautiful treasures that I wanted to display!  I always LOVE the mix of antique pieces and clean lines, bright punches, fresh patterns and contemporary art! The marriage of Old and New makes for a lovely balance and Memorial Antiques & Interiors has a great selection to work with!

One of my favorite "designer" friends, Stephanie, joined in the fun!  We had a great time working together again... & on such an enjoyable project!  I also thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning with Leslie and Susan at Building 2, they are always very friendly and helpful!  I have gotten lots of wonderful feedback and have had dealers email me with sweet compliments.  I honestly LOVE my career and am so blessed to be able to do what I enjoy most as my "day job"!

I wanted to share the feature from Memorial Antiques & Interiors' email and a few photos of my own!  If you're in Houston you should check it out!
